After accepting her award for Best Actress for her performance in "The Substance," the actress reminded everyone that this is the first acting award she has won in her 45-year career (!). Her acceptance speech got very personal and showed her vulnerable side: Demi Moore talked about how small she often felt, even when she was already successful.

“Thirty years ago a producer told me I was a popcorn actress,” says Demi Moore, “and at the time I took it as if that wasn't allowed. That I could make films that were successful and made a lot of money, but that I couldn't be recognized. And I got involved and believed that. And over time that wore me down so much that a few years ago I thought maybe that was it. Maybe I was done. Maybe I did what I was supposed to do.”

Demi Moore explained that she received the script for "The Substance" at that low point and decided that maybe she wasn't done acting after all. She thanked her co-star Margaret Qualley and everyone who believed in her when she couldn't, but she saved the most poignant part of her acceptance speech for last.
