New year, new awards season. Theare almost just around the corner and the list of nominations for the Golden Globes 2025 is finally here, like “-Mastermind Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut announced. Here you can see all the nominees in all categories.

Golden Globes 2025: That's why the awards are so important

Film fans pay attentionveryPay close attention to the Golden Globes nominations because they are often a good indicator of what will happen at other major awards shows like the, den Screen Actors Guild Awards und denis to be expected. The Golden Globes are divided into genres (drama and musical/comedy) and also honor television/series productions.

Last year's Golden Globes also introduced two new categories: "Movie and Box Office Achievement" and "Best Performance in a Television Stand-Up Comedy."(won the first category, and frequent Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais won the second).

The 2024 Golden Globe Awards were eventful in more ways than one. The big winners of the 2024 show included:, who was honored for her role in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” Da’Vine Joy Randolph, who was honored for her work in “The Holdovers” (she also won an Oscar), andthat forwon.

Comedian Jo Koy, who served as host, caused a stir with his jokes, including about an unimpressed woman. Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, snuggled up together and posed for photos. They even got caught up in some juicy awards show rumors as fans speculatedtalked about her. (Gomez later clarified that she actually didn't spill the beans about them).

When will the Golden Globes 2025 be awarded?

The 82nd Golden Globes will take place on Sunday, January 5, 2025. The three-hour show will air from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific time, i.e. 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. German time. Comedian Nikki Glaser will moderate. Actress Viola Davis will be honored with the 2025 Cecil B. DeMille Award.
