“How to Sell Drugs Online (almost)” recap from season 1 to 3
The German successful series “How to Sell Drugs Online (almost)” is back: a full four years after the third season has been released. What happened again? From the moment when Moritz googled how to sell drugs quickly online, a lot happened to his arrest.
In order to really get into the new fourth season, we have prepared a small and large summary of the events of the last three seasons for you.
“How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)”-Recap from Season 1 to 3 from Netflix
We don't have time to live in our busy, so Netflix has a very short summary of the first to third season ofgift.
“Nerd Today, Boss Tomorrow” is the motto of our protagonist Moritz (Maximilian Mundt). He is an unpopular nerd at school who has lost his girlfriend - and planned big. To get his girlfriend back, he founds his own company. And what is the plan? He has a decisive advantage for this: he knows what the gen Z wants. Simple and comfortable access to drugs - via the Internet.
A quick Google search: “How to Sell Drugs Online (almost)” he enters the search line. And apparently it is not that difficult: if you know how to do it right, at least. And there is the crux: do everything right.
Because the drug business is dangerous. Moritz doesn't seem to be interested in that until it gets really serious: "They kill us when we get out," he knows. How does he get out again? The answer: youth prison. And that's exactly where we start with season 4.
Too fast? Then we walk across all seasons again so that we know exactly what point we were.
What happened in “How to Sell Drugs Online (almost)”, season 1?
How it all started: Moritz 'girlfriend Lisa (Anna Lena Klenke) was in the USA for a year and is just coming back at the beginning of the series. America has changed it - and (by the way, after a year long -distance relationship) she wants to take a break from Moritz. But is it a break or has it in the pretty Daniel, shortly Dan, () in love?
Dan is the drug dealer of the school, and Lisa, who had nothing to do with drugs before, is now only interested in it. And with it at the same time for Dan. Moritz 'goal is to bring your girlfriend back. And how does he do that? He wants to ensure that the popular drug dealer no longer has drugs. So he promptly buys all drugs - especially Ecstasy - from Dans Dealer Jakob “Buba” Otto. And reallyall. But where did he actually get the money for it?
He and his best friend Lenny (Danilo Kamperidis) are real nerds who only won a prize in an innovation competition with their common idea for an online shop for gamer/role-playing utensils. He then took this prize money to impress his girlfriend with drugs - or something like that. But what does he do with all the drugs that he once bought?
Of course, he googles how to sell drugs on the Internet. And he already has the infrastructure: The online shop “Mytems” quickly becomes “Mydrugs” and the business is starting. But then: Daniel revealed his supplier, Buba, and he quickly comes behind grids. Besides, his drugs weren't clean anyway. Where should you take the drugs now?
Moritz receives an offer from a Dutch company that offers him clean drugs for sale - so far.
But everything quickly gets out of hand. Daniel comes to the company because they were all three dependent on the same supplier. When Buba is released from custody due to a lack of evidence, he takes revenge. But it does not end well: he shoots (accidentally).
Now the three are doing with new drugs - and are relatively successful. After their first million, the three actually want to stop and celebrate their success. But why stop when it is most beautiful?
What happened in “How To Sell Drugs Online (almost)”, season 2?
At the beginning of the second season everything was actually nice: 300,000 euros for everyone sounds great! At 17, Moritz CEO is a drug empire, and he actually likes that quite a bit. Nevertheless: It is best to get out of the illegal business before it is too late. When Moritz discusses this with the Dutch company, from which you buy the drugs, they agree to the exit - under one condition: they continue online trading alone.
Moritz does not want to do without so much potential money, and he explains to his team: "They kill us when we get out."
So it goes on: But you need a larger team. Lenny suggests the hacker Kira, an internet acquaintance of him. But it immediately brings unrest into the team because they blackmail people with intimate videos to get money.
In the meantime, Lisa moves in at Moritz, which prompted him to move the business into the garage to hide his drug activities. Nevertheless, Lisa learns from Moritz 'participation in Mydrugs and asks him directly to get out. The tensions within the group escalate as further lies and secrets come to light, which ultimately leads to a break between friends.
Moritz wants to tear Mydrugs itself - but Lenny is blocked by the website. Lenny ultimately destroys Mydrugs, and in the last scene after the credits you can see Moritz sitting in prison as he tells about his history.
What happened in “How to Sell Drugs Online (almost)”, season 3?
We actually know it from the start: Moritz tells his story retrospectively after his arrest. So at some point it will happen that his drug start-up will fly up. And in season 3 we find out what happens in the last few days before Moritz's arrest.
In the third season of “How to Sell Drugs Online (almost)”, Moritz tries to rebuild my team independently after the breakdown of his team. During a school trip to a camp, he works on it, but ultimately needs the support of Lenny, who initially hesitates, but finally participates. Under the pressure of the Dutch drug producers, the platform is again put online.
Kira is arrested by the police because she has unauthorized money from her mother. Moritz is increasingly targeting the investigation, especially by the police officer Kämper, who is looking for evidence against him and also puts pressure on Moritz 'father (also a police officer, by the way, if that was not yet clear).
In an attempt to get rid of the Dutch partners, Moritz gives the police a very specific note, which, however, does not lead to the desired success. The situation escalates during the closing ceremony: Moritz 'father shoots two of the Dutch dealers - the collision with the police is essential.
Moritz naturally wants to protect his friend: in the end and finally stands alone to the police. In a gesture of selflessness atypical for him, he takes over the entire responsibility for Mydrugs and goes to prison.
But at the end of the third season it becomes clear: this is not the end. Mydrug's business continues - as you can see in a small jump. The time after graduation begins and large decisions have to be made.
What will happen in “How to Sell Drugs Online online”, season 4?
The company Mydrugs is therefore tight and Moritz in prison. That's a good ending - isn't it? Wrongly thought: After four years, the story of Moritz and Co.
After Moritz comes out of prison, he finally wants to build a legal (!) Business with Mydrugs. But he has to find out that everyone else has developed. Lenny and Dan expanded the start-up: they are now selling supplements. And actually have no space for Moritz.
