Apple thalers from the tray: quick recipe
You can't imagine what it smells like when the apple thalers are baking in the oven. The entire apartment is filled with an incredibly delicious scent, so that the whole family is guaranteed to be standing in front of the oven window in no time, waiting for the heavenly thalers to finally be ready. And once the pastries are on the table, they are eaten in no time.
You need these ingredients:
For around 20 apple thalers
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 1 No
- 90 ml Rapsöl
- 90g sugar
- 1 pack vanilla sugar
- 1 pack of baking powder
- 400 g Flour
- 5 apples
- optional: cinnamon
Extra tip:With onedigital measuring cup scalesyou can weigh all the ingredients quickly and easily (is available here on Amazon*).
And this is how the preparation works:
1.Put the low-fat quark, egg, rapeseed oil, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl and mix into a uniform dough.
2.Mix the baking powder and flour together in a separate bowl and then pour through a sieve into the remaining dough. This way the quark balls end up nice and fluffy.
3.Peel apples and then cut them into very small pieces. Then fold these into the dough. If you like, you can also add some cinnamon to the dough.
4. Line two baking trays with baking paper and pour the dough onto the baking tray in portions using a tablespoon so that several balls are formed.
5.Place the baking trays in the preheated oven and bake at 180 °C for about 25-30 minutes. The thalers are ready as soon as they are golden brown. Before serving you can dust them with a little powdered sugar. So delicious!
Refining apple thalers: nuts for that extra crunch
With a handful of nuts you can top off your apple thalers from the tray. Simply chop a handful of nuts roughly and fold them into the dough. For example, the slightly tart walnuts taste super delicious with the sweet apple, but almonds, pecans or hazelnuts also give the apple thalers a delicious crunch.
