More space for laundry: This means you can fit more on the drying rack

Is your clothes horse constantly overflowing? With our laundry trick you can create more space on the drying rack.

Who doesn't know that? Especially in a household with children, a lot of laundry accumulates during the week. Luckily, there is a washing machine that regularly shrinks the mountains of laundry.

But that's not all. Once the clothes have been washed, they still have to dry. But since not everything can go in the dryer and many people don't even have one in the house, the laundry has to be dried on a drying rack.

The problem is that the piles of laundry are often so large that the rack quickly becomes overfilled and there is not enough space for all the items of clothing. At least that's how I know it.

Fortunately, there is a workaround. A simple directional trick that I found on TikTok can help. Here we show you how the trick works. It's worth trying out!

Directional trick creates more space for laundry

Anyone who has problems placing all of their washed laundry on the drying rack should try this trick. Pants, T-shirts, etc. simply have to be hung differently to create more space.

Instead of hanging up pants as usual, you can hang them up in a much more space-saving way.

Hang up pants to save space:

  1. Place the legs of the pants on top of each other as if you wanted to fold them.
  2. Place one leg over the first line of the drying rack and the second over the second line. So they are directly opposite each other.

That's about it. As you can see in the video, with the directional trick you can fit three pants on one line instead of just one as usual.

What works with pants also works with t-shirts.

Hang up T-shirts to save space:

  1. To do this, hang the shirts horizontally on the lines of the clothes horse. This means that significantly more tops fit on the side wings of the stand.

Of course, the whole thing also works with thin sweaters, tops or towels.

Important to know:Since the items of clothing are much closer together with this technique, it takes a little longer to dry. You should take this into account.

However, if you are not pressed for time and have no other place to hang laundry, you should definitely try the directional trick. You will be surprised at how much space you suddenly have.
