If you don't have a dryer, you're probably familiar with the problem: all the laundry has to go on the drying rack and unfortunately that often leads to unsightly dents or creases that are difficult to remove later with the iron. This can be really annoying, right?
But don't worry! If you pay attention to a few things when hanging up your clothes, you won't get those unwanted creases in the first place. This will keep your laundry nice and smooth and save you a lot of time and effort. Here are the best tips for wrinkle-free laundry from the drying rack!
Tip #1: Hang laundry on hangers
If you want your laundry to stay wrinkle-free, hang up T-shirts, blouses, shirts, etc. on a hanger. To do this, first shake out the laundry briefly, smooth it out a little with your hands and simply hang the hanger and item of clothing on the clothesline or on the struts of your clothes horse.
Does the clothesline not hold that many hangers? Instead of a clothes rack, simply use a clothes rack (here on Amazon).* They are much more robust and also super space-saving. Another plus point: The clothes rack can be easily moved thanks to the wheels.

Tip #2: Hang by the seam
Unfortunately, some items of clothing cannot be hung on a hanger, such as trousers. With a little trick you can hang all your clothes without any wrinkles, even without a hanger.
Hang your laundry for itupside downto the clothesline. Then attach it to the bottom waistband or bottom seamwith a clothespinon a leash.

Tip #3: Use clothespins
In general, it is definitely an advantage to use clothespins. This means you don't have to hang your laundry in the middle over the line, but you can attach it to another, more inconspicuous place with the clips. As already described, this is usually possible at the seams, or at the very top and very bottom of a piece of clothing.
Tipp:There are special clothespins that are padded on the inside and therefore leave fewer pressure points (here on Amazon).*
Tip #4: Shake out laundry
Shake out your laundry thoroughly before hanging it up. In this way you loosen up the clothing and smooth it out a little so that wrinkles don't form in the first place. This process has another advantage: If you shake out the laundry thoroughly before hanging it up, it won'tand still smells nice and fresh even after drying.

Ator sweaters, you should make sure that the sleeves hang down smoothly and are not folded inwards. Otherwise they dry much more slowly and also kink.
Tip #5: Leave enough space between items of clothing
Each of your items of clothing should have enough space on the clothesline. Don't hang the laundry up compressed. Otherwise, many small wrinkles will form and the laundry will dry unevenly.
It's best to hang your clothes in an offset positionand not directly behind each other. This means more air gets to the laundry and it dries faster.
Tip #6: Store dry laundry properly
Is your laundry dry and still has a few creases? No problem, there's a little trick you can use to avoid ironing. You can also simply hang up your already dry laundry on a clothes hanger. Over time, the garment will hang out and, with a bit of luck, straighten itself.

Tip #7: Use a good iron
If all the tips didn't work for you, you'll have to iron the laundry to get it wrinkle-free. It is important that you use a really good iron for this. It's best to use an iron with a steam function (e.ghere on Amazon).*
