The furniture company Ikea announced a collaboration with Sonos, the well-known American manufacturer of speaker systems, last year. Now the time has come: the first prototype of the Symfonisk series will be presented at the Feel Home exhibition in Milan. The new series can be heard and tested at the trade fair from April 9th to 14th. As a spokesperson for Ikea explained, the Swedish company wants to combine its interior design knowledge with Sonos' experience in sound systems to ensure the perfect sound experience in every room. The Symfonisk loudspeaker is not only a functional addition to the basic equipment in your home, but also a stylish designer piece that fits harmoniously into modern furnishings.
Many people dream of having a sound system, but for many this dream has not come true. The new Symfonisk speaker will offer a cost-effective alternative that combines timeless design and functionality in one. Several prototypes were presented last July, and now the first WLAN-based loudspeaker is expected to be available in the summer.

The first model is a white built-in speaker that is installed in theCoffee table in the living room, can be embedded in the worktop in the kitchen or in the bedside table in the bedroom. The can-shaped speaker with a diameter of 8.6 cm and a height of 8.8 cm is quite compact. The loudspeaker is also equipped with a microphone and can therefore prove to be a space-saving alternative to conventional hands-free devices in the home office.
The second model is a portable speaker in black. It is battery-operated and is also considered quite compact with a length of 15 cm, a height of 2.5 cm and a width of 7.5 cm. The speaker comes with a cork stand, but can also be attached to a backpack.
