Choices inspired by life

Pantone was founded as a printing company in New York in the 1950s. Today the company is based in Carlstadt, New Jersey. Since 2000, they have chosen a color of the year based on trend research by the Pantone Color Institute. The annual color, which the institute announces every December, is based on “what is happening in our global culture at a given time.”

According to Pantone, Classic Blue is already used in fashion, interior design, textiles and graphic design. Anne-Laure Dubois's Paris home, a nail salon in Los Angeles, and a Fala Atelier apartment in Porto, Portugal, make the most of the soothing benefits.
