The most common and obvious variant is to hide the boiler in the cupboard. Depending on the space, you can determine its size yourself and, for example, make it larger than the heater.

The boiler hangsin a niche, you can take advantage of their size. A shelf consisting of several levels can be installed on the side of the device, which can then be hidden behind a door like in a “real” cupboard.

You can also leave a little more space underneath the heater by extending the cabinet. Then you will also have a practical storage area for cleaning products, shampoos, creams, etc., which are also perfectly hidden.

Hide the boiler under the sink in the sink cabinet

If you don't want to build a cabinet first, you can also use the base cabinet of your sink for this purpose, provided the hot water boiler is a smaller model. This option is not for large families, but may be very practical for a two- or one-person household.

Even if you want to use a separate, smaller device in addition to the large device for the sink, it can be easily stored directly under the sink.

The wall above the bathtub

Some people attach shelves to the wall above the bathtub and place decorations there. Instead, you can also attach the boiler and then cover it with a cupboard. If you hide the boiler above the bathtub in this way, you can also integrate shelves or other compartments that you can use asadditional storage spacecan use.

It is important that the device is mounted really securely to avoid accidents. If it has been anchored appropriately, there is no risk of the hot water device becoming loose.

This floor-to-ceiling cabinet not only houses the hot water boiler, but also the toilet cistern. The area above the toilet, which also often goes unused, is a popular place to install water heaters. Since this doesn't necessarily make the whole thing nicer to look at, a built-in cupboard is a great choice.

In the example you can see what a big difference the cladding makes visually. A narrow shelf was installed on the side of the boiler and a larger compartment, for example for toilet paper, is located below the device and above the cistern.

This variant is only suitable if you are still in the process of building or have a large oneRenovation for the bathroomhave planned. If the square footage of the bathroom allows it and, for example, there is an impractical niche, you can close it, but not without still making good use of the cavity. You can install the boiler there.

You can then simply close the opening with cupboard doors or even a window, for example with frosted glass. Perhaps lighting can also be installed in the window variant so that the whole thing emits pleasantly dimmed light when closed?

What you should definitely consider

No matter what you decide to do with your water heater, you always have to remember that it needs to be easily accessible to make any repairs or even replace it without having to dismantle half the bathroom.

Sufficiently large openings if the device is built into the wall or enough clearance around it if it is in a closet will probably save you a lot of headaches and a lot of swearing in the future.
