There is a period that is best suited and that is between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. At that time you can assume that the dew has already evaporated, so there is no annoying moisture that is more difficult to dry and ruin the flowers.

If they collect flowers, they should also be harvested shortly before flowering. They develop a little further, even if they are cut off and then look fresher in the dried state. Store flowers and plants that you do not use in a dry place to use them later.

Really dry

The best way to do areFlowers and plantsdry in the air. The liquids in the plants will be withdrawn. You keep your natural look when you are hung upside down. Above all, flowers get a flat look on the table. Choose a dark room for drying. The ventilation should be good in it.

Duration of drying

Depending on the flower or plant, drying can take between two and eight weeks. If you are not sure, you can easily check it by touching the flowers with your fingers. Once they have dried properly, they rustle. However, even with the lowest moisture, this is not the case. Once the flowers are ready, spray them with some hairspray. In this way you can preserve the shape and color of the plant.

Maybe you will also add ears, grasses or leaves. You can dry these in the same space as the flowers. That makes no difference. However, these are not hung up like the flowers, but are simply placed in a container. Do not fill the container with water!

Length of the flowers

You should be able to estimate the length of the stems in advance. Therefore, before collecting, think about the type of arrangement and which vessel you want to use. To make sure, cut long stems. You can shorten them at any time later. If you later find that some flowers are too short, you can also extend them with wire if necessary.

Also use lavender for your bouquet. With these flowers, the flower arrangement becomes particularly romantic and personable. Since it is a spice plant, drying is also very easy here. Lavender can be combined with any other elements.

Bind the bouquet

First get wire, yarn and flowers and provide scissors, a knife and glue. First consider the middle of the bouquet, i.e. what flowers you want as the center. Then gradually work out to the outside world. This applies to any kind of bouquet.

If you have chosen the center, you can add any other elements around it. This includes other flowers, but also berries, fruits, grasses, branches and so on. If you are satisfied with the arrangement, wrap the stems with wire and cut to the bottom. Since wire does not look very attractive, wrap it with yarn or a pretty band.

Since the arrangement is a pretty decorative dry bouquet, you can also match it in terms of color. It lasts a very, very long time, so that every room can permanently decorate with it. If you do the dry bouquet yourself, like to choose some elements, tie them together and place them in a container, whereby this bouquet can also expand this bouquet at regular intervals.

The bouquet does not necessarily have to be lavish to look pretty. You are welcome to make a small, delicate bouquet of flowers yourself and distribute several of them in the room. An arrangement made of dried flowers and grasses is also a great idea to give away. The recipient enjoys it much longer than with a fresh bouquet and will think of her every time.

As already mentioned, you can make an arrangement yourself with grain. Combine several types such as rye, wheat and barley to make an interesting mix. Artificial flowers can also be added to the dry bouquet if they didn't have time to dry flowers and still want to make some colored accents.

The dry bouquet is suitable as a decoration for every furnishing style. However, the whole thing has a rustic effect with an old vase or another antique vessel, as well as if you put the arrangement on a wooden disc, as was done in this example. Dried hydrangeas were used again.
