Make your own children's bar liqueur: chocolate liqueur with a difference
Hardly anything tastes more like Christmas than Christmas liqueur. The next suggestion tastes seductively sweet both on its own and as an accompaniment to ice cream or cake. The alcoholic version is for adults, but children can enjoy the non-alcoholic version.
The necessary ingredients:
- a children's bar
- 40g sugar
- a medium sized egg
- 400 ml milk
- 250 ml Sahne
- optional: 100 ml Wodka
Preparation: Proceed as you would when preparing Ferrero Kiss Liqueur. First, crush the chocolate in a large bowl, then add the liquid ingredients to the pot and stir them in. Then heat the ingredients over low heat for a few minutes. After the bar has completely melted, remove the pot from the heat. Now you can stir in the vodka while the liqueur is still hot. If you have decided on the alcohol-free option, then this last step can be omitted. Then let it cool for 10 minutes and pour it into sterilized bottles with airtight lids. Like all other liqueurs, you must store this in the refrigerator and use it within 20 days.
Raffaello liqueur with and without alcohol
Making your own Raffaello liqueur is very easy. You have the advantage that you can prepare the chocolate liqueur with or without alcohol. Perfect for family dinners at Christmas, but also for anyone who would like to sweeten the pre-Christmas period with a new drink.
The necessary ingredients for Raffaello liqueur are:
- 10 Raffaello chocolates
- 200 ml milk
- 60g brown sugar
- 135 ml whipped cream
- 67 ml Vodka
The preparation is incredibly easy. Place the pralines in a medium-sized pot and crush the Raffaellos with a fork or a hand blender. Then add the sugar and pour the milk over the whole thing. Mix everything very well until a thick mixture forms. Heat over medium heat and then add the alcohol and heavy cream. Stir and remove from heat after 10 seconds. For the non-alcoholic version, you can simply leave out the vodka. This liqueur is about thicker than the others - so use a funnel to distribute it among the sterilized bottles. Seal airtight and store in the refrigerator for a maximum of three weeks. If you want to give the liqueur as a gift, take the bottles out of the fridge shortly before the occasion.
