Summer is coming soon and it's already time for garden parties in the sunny days and warm evenings. This definitely includes chilled drinks. Today we are presenting a few DIY projects for cocktail umbrellas for your summer party decoration. Our ideas are easy to make yourself and don't take a lot of time to imitate.
Cocktail umbrellas are the bestdecorationfor a drink. If you can't decide on the color and motif, we recommend trying out different models. The more colorful the decoration, the better!
The necessary materials for these cocktail umbrellas are: construction paper, sample bag clips and toothpicks or wooden skewers. The tools required are scissors and a hot glue gun.

Donut cocktail umbrella with straws
If you would like to make a creative party decoration, then these colorful donut cocktail umbrellas are a suitable idea for you. A print template, which you will find at the end of the article, is intended to be printed on thick paper. You will also need straws, scissors, a hole punch and a glue stick.
The donuts are first cut out by also cutting out the white triangle. Then the cocktail umbrellas are glued as shown and a hole is made in the middle for the straw. Such a summer party decoration is also suitable for children's birthdays and parties.
Next, we present the idea of preparing homemade drinking cups and cocktail umbrellas for the summer party. For the drinking cups, you will need a glass or mug and corrugated cardboard, which is secured to the cup with tape and hot glue.

Our idea is for black and white stripes, but you can of course use any other colors. All you need are cocktail umbrellas, craft paints and brushes.
Open the cocktail umbrella and paint completely with the white paint until the original color is completely covered. Let it dry for a few minutes and paint the black stripes with a thin brush. Wait until the umbrellas are completely dry and use them to decorate the chilled drinks.

The last idea we present is for colorful cocktail umbrellas with straws that are perfect for garden parties. You can place two or three umbrellas of different sizes on one straw.
To cut out perfect circles, you can use a cup or other round object. For a nice effect you can cut out the corners with pinking scissors. The hole at the top shouldn't be too big so that the umbrellas stay firmly on the straw.
