EcoCamp Patagonia was designed in 2001 by Javier Lopez, Yerko Ivelic and Nani Astorga. Thanks to the experience that the founders have with many otherssustainable hotelsCollected from around the world, they have created a new style of architecture that makes the camp resistant to the harsh climate in one of the largest wilderness areas on earth. Creating vacation homes that allow travelers to connect with the surrounding nature without leaving a negative carbon footprint was the premise of EcoCamp Patagonia's unique design.
All yurts have green domes on the outside with a hemispherical structure that ensures maximum interior space and reduces temperature exchange through walls. Thanks to their low height, they blend harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The walls of the yurts are thickly insulated and provide protection from the wild wind. Using a mini hydroelectric power plant, the sun's energy is used to produce electricity and hot water.
Skylight windows provide a natural source of light and heat and treat guests to fascinating light patterns. The stunning eco camp offers luxury suites, standard suites, a common room and a yoga dome for individual or group lessons. The rooms are decorated in Patagonian style and have comfortable and large beds, well-equipped bathrooms and an open terrace where you can admire the unique view.
