Perforated facade made of aluminum and exposed concrete makes “D3 House” unique in Israel

The perforated aluminum facade looks modern and timeless. Thanks to the aluminum profiles, contemporary architecture gives all opportunities to create unique facade cladding with a wide variety of patterns. “D3 House” in Hertsliya, Israel, is a good proof of the limitless applications of the materials. The family home was designed in 2018 by Pitsou Kedem Architects.

Perforated facade impresses with a great triangle pattern

At first glance, the modern building looks like a box that is composed of two individual units. At the first level, the perforated aluminum facade fascinates with a repetitivegraphic pattern. First of all, apparently random openings in the aluminum facade give an insight into the house.

The facade on the second level is made of exposed concrete. The combination of the various facade cladding creates an impressive contrast. The white perforated aluminum facade and the diagonally oriented upper floor result in a minimalist unit as a whole.

The meeting of materials and the precision in detail awaken the feeling that you stand in front of a flat, two -dimensional backdrop. The combination of the geometric figures and the ongoing white tones create a feeling of space and depth.

The figural perforation in aluminum cladding gives a beautiful light-shadow game that projects on the walls and gives the otherwise calm and harmonious space a touch of living and dynamics. In the entrance area, a stone wall acts as a separation element between the entrance hall and the kitchen. The massive partition is an artistic mix of natural stone and iron, which takes up the design topic from the house facade in the interior again.

The facade on the other side of the building consists of huge window fronts that let the beauty of the garden penetrate into the living rooms. The transparency of the ground floor emphasizes the contrast between the white aluminum cladding and the sloping concrete facade on the second floor. A large terrace in the middle of the family home forms an exciting meeting point between the indoor and outdoor area.

A richer and more diverse color palette was used when selecting the interior. A central area in the dining area is proof of this. A decorative bookshelf made of brass and Onyx was designed for this area according to the design of the architect Irene Goldberg. The chairs with orange backrests provide a great and modern color kick.

Thanks to the huge window fronts, the living area is flooded with light and cozy. White walls andshiny floorsPut the perfect stage for the elegant pieces of furniture. Comfortable seating furniture offers a cozy place to relax and get together. Natural and bright colors make the room look even more comfortable and inviting. The interior designers have set colors such as beige, cappuccino and gray. Unique pendant lights with different lengths and a spherical luminous screen made of glass look particularly decorative and see like freely floating crystal balls in the air. The same enchanting lights also hang over the dining table in a dynamic but harmonious arrangement.

Next to the living space there is a covered veranda, which also offers comfortable seating. The designers also remain true to the color scheme, but it has been expanded to include trendy petrol blue. The walls in the bathrooms also shine in blue. The white minimalist bathroom furniture comes into its own on the dark background. Modern silver bath taps ensure an additional touch of modernity and elegance. Golden veins run through the blue marble walls and give the room a noble and luxurious touch.

In order to create a contrast between nature and architecture, a wider color palette was also used for the surrounding garden.
