Hot air fryer or oven - which method brings the best filled peppers? While one ensures crispy texture, the other more intense flavors unfolds. We show you both variants for delicious, exotic peppers.

But does that mean that the oven has had its day? Not at all! Both methods offer their advantages, especially with filled peppers, which are supposed to be tender and aromatic on the outside. No matter whether classic from the oven or faster from the hot air fryer - our delicious recipe for exotic peppers is simply delicious in both variants!
You need that for both variants:
- 100 g Couscous
- 2 yellow peppers
- 2 root peppers
- 1 bunch of spring onions
- 30 g smooth parsley
- 400 g beef meat meat
- 50 g Sultanic
- 2 eggs (size m)
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- Salt, pepper, nutmeg
- 100 ml vegetable broth
- 1 can of tomatoes passed
Variant 1: Exotic-filled peppers in the oven
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (200 ° C top/bottom heat).
- Pour the couscous with hot broth according to the package instructions and let it swell.
- Finely chop the spring onions and parsley.
- Mix the minced meat with couscous, sultanine, eggs, spices and herbs.
- Halve and core the peppers, then fill with the mixture.
- Put the tomatoes passed in a baking dish, put the filled peppers in and drizzle with a little olive oil.
- Bake for about 35 minutes until the peppers are soft and slightly roasted.
Variant 2: filled peppers from the hot air fryer
- Preheat the hot air fryer to 180 ° C.
- The filling is prepared as in the oven variant.
- Fill the peppers with the minced meat mixture.
- The tomatoes passed can be heated in a separate bowl and served as a sauce.
- Place the filled peppers in the frying basket and cook at 180 ° C for 15-18 minutes. If you like it particularly crispy, you can increase the temperature to 200 ° C in the last 2 minutes.
Which method is the best?
The choice depends entirely on personal preferences! If you set a gentle garage and a more intensive connection of the flavors, you should choose the oven variant. On the other hand, if you prefer a crisp consistency and in a hurry, you will be happy with the hot air fryer version. Just try both methods and find your favorite!
