Spaghetti and tomatoes belong together like day and night. A new recipe hit turns the duo to give the duo a surprising upgrade
Tomatoes should not be missing in Italian cuisine. Whether happening on the pizza, or shaking in the pasta - they give the popular dishes a touch of sweetness and combine with every further spice to a delicious taste. But if you thought that Spaghetti and tomatoes were already a perfect combination, you have probably never heard of Lidia Bastianich. The cook and cookbook author now revolutionized the court that was so often cooked by bringing a surprising ingredient into play in her own recipe.
Refined recipe trick from a strong ...
When Lidia Bastianich demonstrated on social media how she prepared her cherry tomatoes for spaghette density, she triggered a real hype. The Italian-American strong element bakes her tomatoes with breadcrumbs to intensify the taste of the vegetables and give it more bite. And to make up for it is very easy. This is where the recipe comes:
Ingredients:
- 1 BUND basil
- 250 g cherry tomatoes
- 1 clove of garlic
- 6 tablespoons of olive oil
- 400 g Spaghetti
- Breadcrumbs
- Salt
- Pfeffer
Preparation:
- Halve the cherry tomatoes and swirl in a little salt, half of the olive oil and the breadcrumbs.
- Spread the tomatoes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 300 degrees for 30-40 minutes until the breadcrumbs look crispy and roasted.
- Shortly before the tomatoes are finished, cook spaghetti al dente and then swivel them in the remaining olive oil, garlic and basil.
- Lift the baked tomatoes under the spaghetti and season with fresh pepper.
