A series like an Instagram feed: the new ZDF-sitcom Späti is as good

You canDo not imagine without spatis. The small kiosks that have pretty much everything you need "quickly". They are a place where the whole quarter runs into the way sooner or later. Actually, you can't imagine a city without Späti. And exactly one of these Berlin institutions is now the linchpin in the newZDF seriesSpääti.Rather, it is a sitcom that keeps the magnifying glass on a shop in which everything can happen: after -work beer, package acceptance, noise pollution and love drama. Wilson Gonzales stands behind the counter and in the middle of everyday life.We viewed the series in advance and found that it feels like scrolling through an Instagram feed-but charming.

In Freds (Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht) Life is not that way. He was canceled, the apartment can no longer afford and his girlfriend is now finally enough. And because he doesn't know what to do, he does what he always does: he depends on Hakan's Späti. When he learns that Hakan spontaneously has to go to Turkey and his daughter Aylin (vales explain) cannot take over the shop because she has to concentrate on school, Fred steps in. With a skeptical "yes" he gets the job - although he has no idea how it all works. Suddenly Fred stands behind the Späti counter and is confronted with new challenges every minute. Together with Aylin and a few regular guest, he somehow would be the shop. And then suddenly the KVR and the health department stand outside the door ...

Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht had the idea for this series together with the author and director Martin Waldmann. Wilson Gonzalez himself took over the main role and the post of creative producer. Here someone seems to be very networked, because the real unique selling point and the great strength of the sitcom are their endless many guest stars. To name just a few: Sophie Passmann, for example, are Bill Kaulitz, for example,, Alli Neumann, Nikeata Thompson, Conny from the Block, Casa Carlo, Jasna Fritzi Bauer, Ines Anioli and Niklas and David. They all enter the Späti with their very personal concern. With every ringing of the door bell, you are already looking forward to new prominent late and inside. You will know them primarily from the Internet.

Anyone who goes into this series with the intension that complexity and claim is offered here can switch off again. But does not mean thatSpäätiis cheap entertainment. It is a series for people who hear podcasts in every free minute and look at the toilet seat Reels. Even if Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht's performance is not the best, you forgive because this sitcom is so charming and comfort that you only have love. By the way, you also have to create. Gülseren, on the other hand, is fantastic authentic in her (first!) Lead role.

You can't avoid this comparison: the ZDF series feels like you are scrolling through an extremely charming Instagram feed. Bill Kaulitz in the tank-top follows Sophie Passmann, who buys cigarettes, follows Conny from the block as a hygiene control, follows Casa Carlo, who tries to hand over a package. If you don't look at the carefully, everything is over again. This ensures speed and always new goodies that are thrown at you. This immediately rewarded the audience with new attention. The story ofSpäätiCould also be a classic German ROM com, but luckily none of these stink-normal box office strikers became a young, experimental, cool and always charming series for a young ZDF audience. Everything was done right.
