Looks like cliché-whiskey advertising, isn't it? Not quite if you know the story behind Glenmorangie and Harrison Ford.
Once Upon A Time in Scotland: The Glenmorangia campaign with Harrison Ford
Just photographing campaign pictures, a Hollywood icon like Harrison Ford does not do justice to a Hollywood icon. Therefore, an entire video series was created together with Glenmorangia. And in it the Behind-the-Scenes becomes the scene itself: in it we accompany the lousy actor during the shooting of his Glenmorangie campaign. In many different videos that extend from arrival to the shoot to the finished film, Harrison Ford is confronted with shooting classic whiskey advertising. But he doesn't feel like that. Fords typically dry humor is made for this campaign. And in the end it's just about damn good single malt whiskey.

I really enjoyed working with the team in the distillery - they are all great. The entire shoot was shaped by nice surprises: small unexpected moments. Thanks to Glenmorangie's sense of humor, we didn't have to take ourselves so seriously. I think what Joel Edgerton produced has a certain charm, is unpretentious and simply amusing.

Glenmorangie and Harrison Ford: everything differently and not
Whiskey is about that: Scotland, nature, tradition and history and taste. By the way, the latter is particularly soft and gentle in Glenmorangia, which creates the use of Scotland's highest trash bubbles. So it would not be a whiskey campaign if it is not exactly that to be seen. Glenmorangie knows that exactly and has used a clever trick: by showing how it shouldn't be done, that is ultimately presented. Just a little self -depriving and at this point Harrison Ford and his humor come into play. Scenes in which he pulls his tartan skirt and slips into the traditional shoes on the mountain, whiskey advertising finally makes funny and personable.
