“Silver Tip” nails are THE winter trend variant of the classic manicure – and perfect for New Year’s Eve

“Silver Tip” nails are the most beautiful French nail option in winter – and are now totally popular

We usually wear silver as jewelry or – sometimes unusually – as a glittery skirt. Now silver can also be found on our nails and gives our manicure an elegant eye-catcher with just a few simple steps! The nice thing about it: The “Silver Tip”can be created from subtle to striking. Depending on the occasion and mood you want to spruce up your nails for.

“Silver Tip Nails”: The most beautiful nail designs to imitate

Here we show you nine great examples of “Silver Tip” nails that are suitable for everyday life as well as for special events (like, parties, Christmas or New Year's Eve). For the metallic French nails version, you don't need anything more than silver-colored nailsand/or glitter with silver particles as well as base and top coat for fixing.

These “Silver Tip Nails” may be simple, but they make a huge impression. Here, like one, only the tips are “decorated” with silver-colored nail polish, the bottom polish is clear or very slightly pink. The silver tip should be drawn exactly here. If you don't have a steady hand, you can help yourself with nail foils or use a special nail design tool for the tips. To make it last longer, be sure to apply top coat over the nail. Et voila!

2. Silver Glitter Rain

This nail design with glitter is just as chic as the French manicure, but is even more eye-catching. To do this, after applying the base coat, first paint the nail with clear varnish or nude-colored varnish and then immediately distribute silver-colored glitter particles on the front part of the nails. (This is best done with a cosmetic sponge.) In order for the glitter to last, the base coat must still be “wet”. Then fix with top coat.

3. Curved “Silver Tip” nails

These silver tip nails require a steady hand and some practice. Silver-colored nail polish is artfully curved around the tips of the nails, creating a wave-like design. The procedure is a little more complex and requires an experienced hand. It's best to have it done in a nail salon.

4. Rosé meets Silver

For this nail design you need base coat, rose and silver nail polish and top coat. First apply base coat to the nails, then apply the rose-colored polish. The(in this example the corners have been filed down) decorate with the silver polish and finally apply another top coat over the entire nail. The rosé makes it particularly delicate.

5. Cheeky and playful

Also nice: when accurate silver tips are combined with another nail design. To do this, first coat your nails with a base coat, then with clear coat or alternatively- or rose-colored polish, apply silver polish to the tips and place a small semicircle in any color on the nail bed. This creates an eye-catcher from front to back!

6. Silver as a highlight

If you don't want to give silver the full spotlight on your nails, combine silver-colored polish or silver glitter with another nail design. Here in the example, one hand was designed as a French manicure with small hearts, the other with a silver-colored chessboard design. There are still glitter particles under the silver-colored pattern.

7. With elegant silver trim

The silver-colored elements do not have to be evenly distributed over the entire nail. Even small details make the nail design an eye-catcher. Here, in addition to the classic French manicure with white tip, a thin, curved silver-colored line was drawn across the nail. Admittedly, this fine design requires either professional utensils or – even more likely – a trip to the nail salon. The line is very thin and should be just accurate so that it looks pretty.

8. Party-“Silver Tip Nails”

Silver is cool, silver is elegant and silver is super trendy when it comes to nail design. So why not combine it with chunky glitter? Creates a super wow effect!

9. Silver Flames

Yes, you can also create creative silver French nails on short nails. How about flames as a nail design for your next manicure?
