An example follows:If a party has the goal of reaching 6 % of the election, the 59.2 million of those in Germany mustVoter6 % vote for this party. So at least 3.6 million people.
However, if only 46 million people go, the party only needs about 2.7 million votes to achieve its target of 6 %. So that's about 1 million votes less.
That means:The non -cast vote helps the party to win more voters in a percentage. This party then has to convince fewer people. All parties benefit from non-voters, including extreme parties.
