Almost everyone knows talk show legend Oprah Winfrey. But did you know that she is one of the richest celebrity women in the world?
Wealth and fame don't always go hand in hand. You even hear about celebrities who have lost all their money in a variety of ways and are even in huge debt.
The wealthiest among the stars, on the other hand, not only keep their money together, but also invest it wisely or start their own companies. We introduce you to the richest women among celebrities - some are well-known, others are more surprising on this list.
First up is none other than Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey has an impressive track record. She grew up extremely poor in Mississippi. She moved to Baltimore to work as a news anchor. She later moved to Chicago for a morning talk show - which became a hit and paved the way for Oprah to massive fame and fortune.

This talk show was later renamed "The Oprah Winfrey Show". This was followed by her book club, roles in movies and smart investments. Oprah Winfrey even bought shares in Weight Watchers, which she also promoted. She later founded her own television station, OWN.

Kylie Jenner, $1 billion
At 21, Kylie Jenner was named the world's youngest self-made billionaire by Forbes. However, there was a huge uproar afterwards.
Kylie Jenner comes from a wealthy Hollywood family. Her father Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn Jenner) was a famous athlete and her mother Kris Jenner was the ex-wife of star lawyer Robert Kardashian, who was known in the USA for the OJ Simpson trial.
At the age of 10, she was also in front of the camera for “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” a reality show that revolves around her family and made Kylie a star as a child.
Since Forbes gave someone like Oprah Winfrey, who came from a very poor background, a so-called self-made score of 10, it was incomprehensible to millions of people worldwide that Kylie Jenner still received a self-made score of 7.

However, the magazine itself and Kylie Jenner argue that she did not inherit her fortune. If you look at the Forbes "30 under 30" list, you can see why: of the 30 richest people under 30, only three have not inherited their wealth (as of 2019).
Kylie Jenner used the fees she received from “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and the resulting advertising deals and invested them in her own company. She paid Seed Beauty $250,000 to produce her first 15,000 lip kits.
This deal was extremely successful. At Kylie's mother's request, sales were then outsourced to the e-commerce platform Shopify. The lip kit success story continued and eventually made Kylie a billionaire.
Today the company is called “Kylie Cosmetics” and Kylie Jenner has sold 51% of the shares in beauty giant Coty Inc. for $600 million.

Huda Kattan, $610 million
Many people are not familiar with Huda Kattan. “Huda Beauty,” on the other hand, does. Kattan started a blog in 2010, which paved the way for her extremely successful cosmetics company.
In 2013, the blogger founded "Huda Beauty" with her two sisters because she couldn't find good false eyelashes. The company was most recently valued at $1.2 billion.

Rihanna, $600 million
Rihanna is now considered the richest musician in the world. However, the majority of her wealth did not come from her music, but rather from cosmetics, similar to Kylie Jenner and Huda Kattan.

Madonna moved to New York City in the 80s with $30 in her pocket, where she kept herself afloat with part-time jobs.
She has now released 14 albums. Although her last album was her worst in 2019, she continues to earn millions every year from her tours and as a writer and producer.

Celine Dion, $450 million
Celine Dion is one of the most famous (and richest) singers in the world. Her best-known hit is "My Heart Will Go On", the title song for the film "Titanic". But their music still fills the coffers today. She is reported to have earned $37.5 million in 2019 alone.
