Toniebox: Very few people know these 4 functions

Does your little one love their Toniebox? Read here what ingenious functions are hidden in the colored cube and the figures.

Anyone who has children between the ages of one and ten probably also has a Toniebox at home. The 12 x 12 centimeter cube-shaped box with cat ears that plays radio plays or children's songs using small figures. Easy to use and robust. A match made in heaven for the children's room.

But even though thousands of households have the Toniebox at home (you don't yet? You can get one hereShop the starter set directly from Amazon)*, not everyone uses all the functions.

So, in addition to the usual steps for fast-forwarding, stopping or making things louder and quieter, there are a few tricks that can save money and nerves.

#1 Play Creative Tonies with free stories from Spotify

Creative Tonies (like the ones here on Amazon)* are figures that you can play with yourself. So far, so simple. But did you know that you can also play audio books, radio plays or music from streaming services such as Apple Music, Audible or Spotify?

So instead of paying around 15 euros per Tonie and therefore per story, you can use a creative Tonie (from 9.99 euros) and load MP3 files from Spotify and Co. onto it. From Paw Patrol to Disney stories, there is everything that children's ears can listen to.

This even works with the free Spotify version. You can find out exactly how to do thisread hereor inthis videolook at.

#2 Grandma and Grandpa as surprise voices

Grandma and grandpa or aunt can also create a creative tonie from their home with content or personal voice messages. This means that grandparents can still read a bedtime story to their grandchild every evening, even though they may live hundreds of kilometers away. Almost as if they were sitting next to the bed.

And is it that easy?If you want to equip a creative Tonie, all you need is the Tonie app and the password of the Toniebox owner.

And you can play with the little figure for up to 90 minutes with whatever you want. This can be a personal message or the child's current favorite story. And the little ones can listen to them at any time, over and over again.

#3 Use Toniebox without a figure

Always buying new Tonie figures costs a lot of money. Even if you want to take the box with you on vacation, you inevitably have to pack the figures with you.

Nothing works without a Tonie figure, but if you have children who are primarily 'Benjamin Blümchen', 'Bibi Blocksberg' and 'Bibi & Tina' (Shop here on Amazon)* listening can minimize the number of figures to pack.

Figures from these series that have already been purchased can be used with new stories, which can be easily downloaded within the Tonie app and assigned to the figure.

So if there is a new 'Bibi and Tina' story, you can simply load it onto an existing 'Bibi and Tina' Tonie and don't have to buy another figure.

#4 Minimize maximum volume

Children love hearing the same story over and over again. And preferably as loud as possible. So if you're fed up with 'Frozen', 'Bibi & Tina' or 'Shrek' echoing loudly from the children's room and filling the whole house with sound, then you should adjust the maximum volume of the Toniebox. Yep, that works.

To do this, simply open the Tonie app and log in. Then select your Toniebox and use the slider to set the maximum volume to 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%. In order for the box to adopt the new settings, you must switch it on and it must be connected to the WLAN. The synchronization will now start.

From now on, your little one can press the speaker's big ear until their thumb burns; the maximum volume remains just as loud (or quiet) as you want.
