4 days of vacation = 9 days off(28.12.2024 – 06.01.2025)
or7 days of vacation = 16 days off(21.12.2024 – 06.01.2025)

Anyone who wants to plan their vacation over the holidays around Christmas and New Year can secure twice as many vacation days in 2024/2025. Take for example from28.12.2024 – 06.01.2025free, you just have to thanks to the New Year's holiday (Wednesday, January 1st, 2025) and the weekend in between4 RoofsSubmit vacation and you can do it9 TakeEnjoy free time.

However, if you also want to apply for vacation over Christmas Eve, you can use your entire free time16 Roofsextend and you just have to7 days of vacationsubmit.

April/Never

8 days vacation = 17 days off(18.04. – 04.05.2025)

Even in April you can secure more than two weeks of vacation with just a few days of vacation. There are two public holidays coming up this month. Namely Good Friday (April 18th, 2025) and Easter Monday (April 21st, 2025). A long weekend is possible without any vacation days submitted.

However, if you want to extend your free time a little, you can start your vacation from22.04.2025 – 04.05.2025submit. Since Labor Day (May 1st, 2025) falls on a Thursday next year, you can only8 days of vacationeven17 days offsecure.

May/June

4 days of vacation = 9 days off(24.05.2025 – 01.06.2025)

Labor Day is not the only holiday in the fifth month of 2025. The nationwide holiday of Ascension Day falls on Thursday, May 29th, 2025 next year and allows you to do just that4 days of vacationin total9 days of free time.

If you want to plan a vacation in June, i.e. at the beginning of the summer season, you should definitely take the Pentecost weekend with you. In 2025, Whit Monday falls on June 9th, 2025. Because Thursday, June 19, 2025 is the Corpus Christi holiday. If you extend your vacation a little from June 7th, 2025, you can look forward to 16 days off with just 8 vacation days submitted (June 7th - June 22nd, 2025).

September/October

4 days of vacation = 9 days off(27.09. – 05.10.2025)

Unfortunately, there is no public holiday in September that gives us additional vacation, but if we do it smartly, we can do it from the end of September to the beginning of October9 days offwith just4 days of vacationsecure. Because thanks to the 'Day of German Unity' (October 3, 2025), which falls on a Friday, we only have to take Monday to Thursday off and have thus gained more than a week of free time.

7 days of vacation = 16 days off(20.12.2025 – 04.01.2026)

Next year you can secure a lot of days off around the Christmas holidays. And all of this without having to submit any vacation. In 2025, Christmas Day and Boxing Day will fall on a Thursday and Friday. This means: You are already guaranteed the long weekend over Christmas.

However, for an extra-long break, you can simply submit your vacation for December 22nd, 2025 - January 2nd, 2026 and thereby secure another holiday (New Year's Day, January 1st, 2026). That's how you got it20.12.2025 – 04.01.2026frei (16 Roofs) and you just have to7 days of vacationapply for.
