Classic Belgian waffles recipe

With this recipe, all your waffle wishes are guaranteed to come true: slightly crispy on the outside, wonderfully fluffy and soft on the inside. The waffles are a real hit just like that or with just powdered sugar, but you can also top them with vanilla ice cream, fruit or syrup. So come on: get to the waffle iron!

Ingredients for 10 pieces:

  • 200g butter or margarine
  • 340 g Flour
  • 165g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 Owner
  • 1/2 packet of baking powder
  • 60 ml milk
  • 60 ml sparkling water

It's that easy:

1. First, carefully melt the butter in a small pot or the microwave. Then mix flour and baking powder. In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, salt, eggs, vanilla sugar and the slightly cooled, melted butter. Now add the flour and baking powder mixture.

2. Then add the milk and mix with a whisk to form a smooth dough. Finally, mix in the mineral water, which ensures that the waffles become nice and fluffy. Then the dough30 minuteslet rest.
