Recipe for a baked apple cake

A very classic baked apple is also filled with raisins. Since they aren't for everyone, we left them out of our recipe. If you like, you can decorate the cake with a few raisins at the end.

Ingredients for a loaf pan:

  • 400 g Flour
  • 3 Owner
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • 1 pack of baking powder
  • 300 ml milk
  • 100 ml
  • 100 g Marzipan-Rohmasse
  • 80 g almond flakes
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

For the baked apples

For the casting

  • 250g powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp water

And this is how it is prepared:

1. First we prepare the baked apples. To do this, peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. Sauté the cubes in a small saucepan with the butter. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and let caramelize briefly. Then deglaze with a small sip of apple juice and simmer for a few minutes. Set aside.

2. Open the oven180 degrees top/bottom heatPreheat and grease a loaf tin thoroughly or line it with baking paper.

3. First beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until foamy. Then stir in the oil. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Now alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the eggs and mix thoroughly.

4. Grate the marzipan with a large kitchen grater (this works best if you freeze the marzipan briefly beforehand) or tear it into small pieces. Fold the marzipan and almond flakes into the dough and then fill it into the mold.

5. Finally, distribute the baked apple cubes onto the dough and carefully fold them in with a spoon. Then bake the cake for approx.50 minutesput in the oven. Do a stick test! If it is still too liquid, leave it in the oven for a few minutes longer and cover it with aluminum foil so that it doesn't get too dark.

6. Then cover the cooled cake with a glaze of powdered sugar and water or simply dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy it!
