Buttermilk cake with heavenly almond crust: super juicy thanks to cream trick!

Juicy, super easy to make and so tasty: This buttermilk cake is the perfect accompaniment to Sunday coffee (but of course also tastes good on all other days of the week!).

Recipe for a quick buttermilk cake

Get your buttermilk cake with fresh fruits! Simply distribute them in the dough before scattering the almond leaves over it. How about apricots, blueberries or apple pieces, for example?

Ingredients for a shape or small sheet (31 × 20 cm):

  • 250 g Mehl
  • 120 g of sugar

  • 100 g almond leaves

1. Whisk eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl. Then sift the flour and baking powder. Finally, add the buttermilk and lemon abrasion and stir into a smooth dough.
