Grandma's cheesecake with crunchy sprinkles - the recipe with addiction factor

Do you like crumble cakes? Then combine it with a delicious cheesecake! The creamy filling harmonizes great with the crispy sprinkles.

Cheesecake is really tasty, no question. But honestly: in the long run, I find the classic a little boring. I lack different textures that bring some variety into the cake!

That's why I also love this recipe for cheesecake with sprinkles. The crispy crumbs give the juicythat certain something. And the preparation is not complicated.

Recipe for cheesecake with sprinkles

If you want, you can mix a few chopped nuts or almond leaves under the crumbs. That gives them a little more crunch. No fan of nuts? No problem, the crumbs are also unbeatable!

Ingredients for a springform pan (⌀ 26 cm):

For the dough:

  • 175 g Butter
  • 120 g of sugar
  • 370 g Mehl
  • 1 PCK. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 PCK. Baking powder
  • 1 no
  • Some salt
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional: chopped nuts, almonds, or similar

For the cheesecake filling:

  • 1 kg Quark (20 % Fett)
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 1/2 bio-lemon
  • 3 owner
  • 30 g strength or vanilla pudding powder
  • The mark of a vanilla pod
  • A pinch of salt

This is how the recipe succeeds:

1. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Then add the remaining ingredients, except for the nuts, and knead everything with your hands or kneading hook.

2. Line a 26 cm springform pan with baking paper and grease the edges. Add half of the dough and press on. Press an approximately 1 cm high edge on the sides. Place the rest of the dough in the fridge.

3. Rip off the shell of half lemon (Here is a lemon grater on Amazon*). Mix the lemon abrasion with the remaining ingredients for the cheesecake filling in a bowl until a creamy mass is created.

4. Spread the cheesecake filling on the cake floor and smooth out. Then get the second half of the dough out of the fridge. If desired, fold in chopped nuts and spread the crumble on the cake.

5. The cake in the preheated oven175 °C(Top/bottom heat) bake until the crumbs adopt a golden brown color. Take the cake out of the oven, let it cool briefly and enjoy.

Can the cake freeze?

Absolutely! The cheesecake with sprinkles can be frozen well. It is best to cut it into pieces, wrap this airtight (e.g. in cling film and freezer bags) and store them in the freezer for up to 3 months. Simply steam in the refrigerator overnight for thawing.
