Little washing up, maximum enjoyment: If you love one-pot dishes, you have to try these tomato-mozzarella-style gnocchi.
Do you know that? You're standing in the kitchen, your stomach is growling, but you're lacking inspiration - and then you have the thought: "I don't want to spend hours washing up!" There are one-pot recipes for days like this. They're easy, quick and perfect when you're out of ideas.
These creamy gnocchi with tomato sauce and melted mozzarella are a real highlight. Everything ends up in a single pot, and after a short time you have a real soul warmer that doesn't require much work.
Quick recipe for gnocchi with tomato mozzarella
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 500 g gnocchi (from the refrigerated section)
- 400 g diced tomatoes (canned)
- 200 ml vegetable broth
- 100 ml Sahne
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper
- 125g mozzarella, cut into small pieces
- Fresh basil (optional)
Preparation:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot (discover a whole pot and pan set here on Amazon for just 110 euros*). Sauté the onion cubes and garlic over medium heat until translucent.
2. Add the diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, cream and oregano. Season with salt and pepper and bring the sauce to the boil.
Tipp:If you like it spicier, you can add some chili flakes to the sauce. Or you can pimp the dish with fresh spinach, which you fold in shortly before the end.
3. Add the gnocchi directly into the sauce and stir well so that they are completely covered. Reduce the heat and let the gnocchi simmer in the sauce for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the gnocchi and cover the pot. Wait about 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted and is nicely stringy. Garnish with fresh basil to serve – enjoy your meal!
