Our recipe for a delicious quark poppy seed stollen without raisins conjures up a super juicy cake for the Christmas season. Enjoy it!
During the run-up to Christmas there are some sweet things that we find difficult to resist: cookies, gingerbread and the like are at the top of the list.
But Christmas stollen are also extremely popular. However, most stollen from the supermarket contain raisins. If you don't like the ingredient at all, you can easily bake the sweet winter pastries yourself. We especially love this version with poppy seeds and marzipan.
Recipe for a quark stollen with poppy seeds and marzipan
For you, a stollen must have raisins? Then of course you can still simply add them and work them into the dough!
You need these ingredients:
- 250 g soft butter
- 125g sugar
- 1 pack vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 Owner
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 500 g Flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel, grated
For the filling
- 250 g Mohnback
- 1 No
- 200 g Marzipanrohmasse
For brushing
- 100 g Butter
- 50g powdered sugar
And this is how it works:
1. Mix sugar, vanilla sugar, soft butter and a pinch of salt, then add eggs and quark. Finally, add flour and baking powder and knead everything into a dough.
2. Then roll out the dough on a floured work surface into a large rectangle (approx. 30 × 40 cm). Mix the poppy seed cake with an egg and spread it onto the dough, leaving a small edge free. Roughly grate the marzipan and spread over the poppy seeds.
3. Open the oven180 degrees top/bottom heatpreheat.
4. Now roll up the dough lengthwise and tuck in the ends. Then place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for approx.45-50 minutesbake.

5. After baking, melt the 100 g butter and spread it over the still warm stollen. Then dust with powdered sugar and enjoy.
