My fingernails are well -groomed, but mostly not painted in a dark color. For special occasions or PR appointments, I usually apply stinky nail polish in a dark red-brown tone-mind you in three layers (base coat, color, top coat). Often the whole thing is a stressful last minute action (no idea, which is why some things are always done on the last pusher).
I am usually satisfied with the result. In any case, I feel more and more comfortable with painted fingernails and somehow "more complete". It is important to me that the paint will definitely survive the reason for which I have brushed it up. That he ultimately does not last longer than three days for me, so I have already resigned myself. Because at some corner the nail polish always bursts off quite quickly.
That's ok. Of course I could go to the nail studio if I want a permanent durability - I know. But I prefer to prefer an alternative for home. I want to be flexible and have no appointment printing.
That's why I have now tested the Nail Strips from Maniko. Briefly to the product: Maniko Nails are UV gel stripes to stick on. More specifically, it is thin, self -adhesive stripes that consist of 100 % real nail polish. The strips are easy to stick on at home and the manicure should at best hold up to three weeks.
I tested the Maniko Nails and this is my conclusion
"Maniko Nails" have been on the list of beauty products that I would like to test. But to be honest, I repeatedly postponed the whole project. How come? Because I thought it won't be anything anyway. Can I really get along with the nails to stick? Does it look properly in the end and can my work be presented?
Now I have finally managed to test the Maniko Nails. And, be careful, I'm spoiler, I'm thrilled.
What have I done? I meticulously followed the instructions and made everything step-by-step as the fire explains it. That means in the short summary: I first pushed my cuticles back with a manicure stick, cleaned my nails with the enclosed alcohol pad, selected stripes in the appropriate size and glued to my nails.
The big question is of course: how did it work with the gluing? I really have to say: very well. I would not have thought that it works so well and above all simple (even for me as a nail strips beginner).
How manico recommends, I carefully stretched the strips beforehand to adapt it to my nail shape. It was easy and you don't need to be afraid here that the strips tear. I then cut off the protruding half and tried to leave so much rest to fold the end under my nail tip so that the entire nail edge is covered.
Then I carefully filed. Admittedly, the folding and filing was a bit tricky at first - but after a few nails I had the whole thing out.
So that the gel strips keep really well, I finally used the silicone hoof stick from the starter set to press them tightly. The last step of the manico manicure then means "hardening". To do this, the glued nails are simply kept under a UV lamp for one minute. Complete.

The result: just great! Everything totally neat - as if a professional was at work. I actually didn't think. I am currently wearing the nails the seventh day and they are still holding and shine really nice. Nothing has been peeled off, a small scratch on my thumb nail is hardly noticeable.
By the way:My fingernails are not particularly long. Therefore, a manico nails pack (contains 20 nail strips) is sufficient for me not only for 2, but for 4 x manicure, since I can share the stripes.
How are Maniko's nail strips removed again?
According to the manufacturer, removing the UV gel strips is as simple as removing conventional nail polish. How does it work exactly? There is a special "Remover Serum" or the so -called "Magic Remover Pen" from Maniko. With these products, the adhesive layer between the UV gel strips and the nails is said to dissolve.
To do this, simply put some distant fluid on a cotton pad, put the pad on the nail and wait for a short moment. Then you should wipe your nail with light pressure and in circular movements until the top layer of color is dissolved. After that, you should be able to wipe the nail film from the nail.
I used the "Magic Remover Pen" to remove the strips. With the pen, I first wetted the edges of my nails with the distant liquid. Then I gradually solved or raised the nail foils using a nail shaver. In between, I used the pen again and again and applied it between the nail surface and strips so that they can be loosened even better and easier.
What should I say? It worked great, was easy and quick. That really surprised me. My great fear was also in advance that my nails are now damaged, appear thin and brittle. But no. I was able to solve adhesive residues with a nail polish remover and my nails are perfectly fine.
By the way, I removed my nail films after 14 days. But not because they were scratched or shattered or no longer kept, but because my nails were so grown at this time that I personally could no longer find it nice.
Nail oil strengthens the nails and protects the cuticles from drying out. Used regularly, your nails remain beautiful and smooth.
The nail strips made of nail polish from Maniko are currently available in the online shop in over 80 different shades of color. You have recently received a selection of the products in drugstores such as Rossmann, DM or Budni.
Something important at the end:Since we tested the nail strips from Maniko ourselves, we describe our personal experience with the beauty product in this article. Only because we are satisfied with this product, get along well with it and recommend it does not mean that you also have to cope with the UV Gel Strips as well as we do. In order to form your own opinion, it is therefore always advisable to test products yourself.
