A woman has died during filming in New Mexico after actor Alec Baldwin accidentally fired a gun. The police continue to investigate and report that there is another man, the director, with himtragic incidentwas injured. A spokesman for the actor told the media that these were empty cartridges, but at the time of the shots they hit these two members of the team. A New Mexico newspaper reported that 68-year-old Alec Baldwin was spotted crying outside the sheriff's office.

The deceased woman was 42-year-old camerawoman Halina Hutchins. She was taken by helicopter to an Albuquerque hospital but later died of her wounds. A local police spokesman said the investigation was ongoing and no charges had been filed so far. Witnesses are interviewed. The film crew has suspended filming of the film “Rust”. This is an independent feature film and filming took place at Bonanza Creek Ranch, a popular production location. Baldwin's representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In 2019, she received an award from American Cinematographer Magazine for “Rising Star.” She was also the cinematographer for the 2020 action film Archenemy directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer.
