Do e-cigarettes in the US contain a dangerous chemical and could vitamin E oil be the cause of over 30 deaths? The American health authority has been investigating the cause of death of 29 patients who died from a new mysterious lung disease for months. The official results of the investigation suggest that inhaling vitamin E oil could cause a potentially fatal illness. More than 2,000 cases have currently been registered in the USA, and the vitamin oil was found in the lung fluid of the majority of those affected. It is currently unknown whether the chemical alone or in combination with other toxins causes the disease. So further studies are necessary.

The fact that there has not been a single case in Europe up to this point is probably due to the fact that European manufacturers have to comply with EU regulations. And these are much stricter than in the USA. For example, e-cigarettes in Europe contain neither vitamins nor THC. Cigarettes also contain four times less nicotine than in the USA. It is thanks to the clear rules that apply to ingredients across Europe that no cases have yet been registered here.
