Craft ideas with pumpkin: Make a Halloween pumpkin house (without carving)
Before you start with this cool craft idea, you should of course get the necessary materials. You will need a medium-sized pumpkin, twigs, moss, pine cones, dried flowers, acorns and other natural material of your choice. Also a roll of gauze bandages, acrylic paint, a brush, craft glue, black and white tissue paper and some wire.
To make the pumpkin look like a small house, it should have a door, two windows and a matching roof. To make the windows you will need a few pieces of tissue paper cut into the desired shape and thin twigs. Cut the branches to the desired length and glue them around the paper to form the window frames.
Once the windows are finished, they can be glued to the pumpkin. Place them where you want them! How many windows you want depends mostly on the size of the pumpkin you use.
Now it's time to make the door. It consists of a few branches glued together and cut into the shape of a door. And because it's the little things that make the big difference, we recommend making a cute door handle out of a small, orange bead. Using black marker, draw a pumpkin face to mimic Jack O'Lantern.
Your pumpkin house needs a suitable roof, which can be made from several pinecone scales. To remove these, you can pluck them or cut them off with scissors. Glue all the scales to the top of the pumpkin, overlapping them slightly to look like real roof tiles. Be patient, it will take some time!
Cute homemade ghosts can complete your decorative Halloween arrangement. These are super easy to make using a piece of gauze, a twig and transparent elastic, as shown in the picture below. If you stick them in the ground in front of your cottage, the ghosts will look like they are flying through the air.

It's just to show you how to carve pumpkin houses in different ways. Single story elf houses are the easiest to build without having to do a lot of cutting and carving.
Make a two-story pumpkin fairy house with kids
A two-story pumpkin fairy house can easily be built with three pumpkins - two small and one large. First, all pumpkins should be hollowed out. Then use a chisel to carve different textures into the pumpkins to create doors and windows.
The floor plan
The large pumpkin will be the main floor, while a small pumpkin will be the entrance and the other will be the first floor.
Keep the pumpkins together
The pumpkins are connected to each other using bamboo skewers or toothpicks. This connection is not rock-solid, but you can transport them easily without them falling apart. The places where the pumpkins were connected need to be covered with dry moss to make the fairy houses look more realistic.
The roof covering
The roof uses shingles made from a large pine cone to give it a natural look. The chimney is made of firewood, which gives the little pumpkin house a rustic charm.
Carving the windows
Even the window frames are made with bamboo skewers, and colorful corn kernels can be used for decoration and other details on the window frames.
