Materials needed
- 3 pieces of floral foam in the shape of an igloo (6 cm). You can get it online or from a florist.
- 1 sandblasted piece of vine wood (45 to 60 cm)
- secateurs
- 3 15 cm long pieces of wire
- 10 flowers white peony
- 3 succulents in pots
- decorative branches, foxtail (amaranth) was used in the example
And this is how the whole thing is done
- Wrap the wire around the floral foam and vine wood. Tighten it so that the foam is firmly fixed.
- Remove the succulents from their pots, remove the soil and roots, and cut the stem at an angle. Insert the succulent into the floral foam. It is advisable to poke a hole beforehand so that the succulents can be inserted into the foam more easily without using a lot of force. The succulents are very fragile.
- Shorten the stems of the peonies to approx. 5 cm long. You should also cut these off at an angle so that you can insert them into the foam more easily. Insert them at least 2.5 cm deep so that they are more securely fixed.
- Cut the amaranth to a length of 15 to 20 cm and use it to fill the empty spaces between the succulents and peonies.
And that's about it. Isn't this great project easy to make and simply beautiful and modern?
