The versatile metal fasteners can be designed in different colors, sizes and designs. Be inspired by the following creative ideas and find out how you can do them yourself in just a few steps.
Simple recycling idea
These amazing flowers make the perfect gift for friends and family. You can also attach a magnet to the back and they turn into a nice addition to the fridge to attach important notes.
Before you start crafting, you should get the necessary materials. You can use all types of bottle caps by collecting ones from beer bottles or soft drinks and washing and drying them carefully and removing any labels or stickers. Or just buy some from the craft shop.
Then all you need are acrylic paints, brushes, scissors, hot glue gun, pliers and cardboard.
Paint the bottle caps in your desired colors and allow them to dry completely. You can also add glitter or rhinestones to make them more attractive. For each flower you will need 12 to 14 petals. Then bend the beer capsules with the pliers to create an interesting effect.
Cut a circle out of cardboard or use a screw cap for the base, glue a round bottle cap in the center and attach the petals around it.
Create great garden stakes
Bottle caps can also be used to create unusual garden stakes that add color and structure to outdoor areas. You need 17 bottle caps, a screw cap and a piece of wire or wooden stick. Paint the bottle caps in different colors, bend 12 of them and glue two pieces together to the bottle cap. Add a round sheet metal piece in the middle, attach the flower to the wire and form the leaves from the remaining 4 pieces. Then simply stick it in the bed or flower pot.
Gift idea with sunflowers
Make these fabulous sunflowers and hang them on the wall to create a colorful decoration.
You can use any type of paint for this, such as acrylic, spray paint or old nail polish, the important thing is that you have yellow, green and brown. You can use a small piece of wood and craft a single flower on it or put several together as a bouquet.
For each sunflower you need a total of 18 beer capsules. Paint one bottle cap brown and bend the rest with pliers. Then color 4 pieces green and 13 yellow. You should only paint the outside. Let it dry completely and if the colors are not evenly distributed, apply a second coat on top.
Cut 3 pieces of string of different lengths, with the longest being about 10 cm long, and glue them to the piece of wood.
Then attach the brown beer capsule in the middle and add the yellow ones close together around it. Finally, glue the green leaves to the string and you're done!
