The original film ?Beetlejuice? by Tim Burton has become a cultural touchstone for horror films thanks to its eccentric characters. Many imaginative hair and makeup styles have been inspired by the unique features. A poltergeist named Beetlejuice appears again in 2024 - the film was released in Germany on September 12th.

What you need
- Foundation
- Face colors
- Dark eyeshadows
- Black eyeliner
- Eyebrow powder and pencil
- Green neon color that glows in the dark
- Moss for crafts
- Skin glue
- Wig (as desired) and glue for wigs, hairspray, hair gel
- Colored contact lenses (as desired)
Step-by-step instructions
- If you have purchased colored contact lenses, put them in at the beginning.
- First, you should apply foundation and conceal your eyebrows well.
- If you want to wear a wig with the costume, now is the time to glue and secure it well - stick the lower transparent part on the forehead: use a glue for wigs.
You can use hair gel and hairspray to smooth your hair well so that the wig can fit properly. Check out the TikTok video!

- Then paint your face with white face paint and cover the visible part of the wig.
- To balance those striking eyes, you should aim for a well-defined eyebrow. Fill in sparse areas with eyebrow powder or eyebrow gel.
- In a Beetlejuice Halloween costume, the focus is on the eyes. You can create a deep purple, smoky eye with good eyeshadows. Apply the eyeshadow in circular motions under the lower lashes, in the crease, and in the outer and inner corners of the eyes using a soft, fluffy brush.
- Apply black eyeliner along the lash line for a dramatic effect. Then blend the eyeliner with a make-up brush.
- You can then paint a mustache with eyeliner if you wish. This makes the effect even scarier!
- The next step is to spice up your makeup with some green paint! It's best to apply neon paint that can glow in the dark!
- Also buy some craft moss to use on your face. Attach it well with skin glue.
- Beetlejuice's lips are scary and a bit broken. Choose a deep, matte purple-black tone. Make an “O” shape with your mouth. and then run the brush over the wrinkles to make them look more uneven. You can go beyond the lip line to create a purple shadow that encompasses the entire mouth.
- For the finishing touches, you'll need your wig to create a slightly crazy looking mane.
