Chalk markers have been decorating windows at Christmas time for several years now, as they prove to be very easy to use and can also be easily and completely removed at the end. And you don't even have to have a talent for drawing, because anyone can conjure up excellent motifs on the windows using printed stencils. Use chalk markers correctly for window pictures at Christmas
So that your chalk pictures on the window last a long time in winter, regardless of wind and weather, they are of course painted on the inside of the window pane. But not only that is necessary, but also a clean glass. Therefore, prepare the pane and the template for Christmas and windows:
Prepare the windows and templates:
- Clean the window pane with a degreasing cleaning agent. Normal window cleaner is sufficient.
- Prepare the selected Christmas window stencils for printing by simply printing them out.
- By now the slice should be dry so you can get started.
Start by painting the windows for Christmas:
- Use adhesive tape to stick the picture on the outside of the window, with the motif facing inwards.
- The stencil does not have to stick for long, so basic cleaning in advance is not absolutely necessary. Nevertheless, the tape will not stick well to a surface that is too dusty.
- Now you can trace the image from the inside by simply tracing the contours.
- Chalk pens are not only available in white. So you can even paint your windows with colorful motifs for Christmas.
A notice:If you use templates with lettering, you should first think about which side of the window it should be read from. If it is intended for indoor use, print it out normally. However, if it is to be readable from the outside, it must be mirrored.
