Find the right pot

Choosing the right pot is crucial for the eucalyptus plant, especially if it will remain in the pot. It should have good drainage as the drainage holes will drain all excess water from the soil and prevent overwatering. Young plants can first be planted in a smaller pot and repotted once a year if necessary, preferably in spring.

Since eucalyptus has very long roots, the plant needs a tall pot or bucket. The ideal container must be twice as large in volume as the culture pot.
