Sure, there isn't much to do in the garden during the winter, but that doesn't mean you should forget about it entirely. Below we have some helpful tips and suggestions on what you can do for your plants and garden in winter.
- Water your houseplants and your garden less often and less in the winter so that you don't interrupt their hibernationthe winter conditionswould hardly get them. You can water the plants that are now in the middle of their season as usual.
- Remove dust from your houseplants. This prevents them from breathing properly and absorbing enough light. Find out which of your plants like warm water and place them under warm (not hot!) running water for one. As a thank you, they will delight you with pretty flowers and healthy leaves.
- Look for seeds to sow in the new gardening season. Also, get enough flower pots to grow the plants in until they are big enough for the beds. To make the flower pots not look so boring, you can paint them with bright colors. How about a rainbow or a few smilies?
- Experienced gardeners recommend avoiding walks on the snow-covered lawn. This is harmful to the soil.
And although the garden is not as colorful in winter as it is in spring and summer, it still has a certain charm. Check out these winter ideas:
