Which types of rice are suitable?
Depending on the purpose, you can use different rice reds. Each variety has its special properties that affect the texture and taste of rice flour.

The soaking of rice before grinding ensures finer, softer rice flour and improves the texture in many recipes, especially for rice flour noodles, pancakes or rice cake.
What you need for this:
- 250 - 500 g rice (white, brown, red, black or glue rice);
- Water to soak
- Powerful mixer or coffee grinder;
- Clean cloth or baking sheet to dry;
- Fine sieve or flour sieve;
- Airtight containers for storage;
This is how it works:
- Put the rice in a bowl and cover it with water.
- If you use white rice, have it soaked for 2-4 hours. You need 8-12 hours for brown and whole grain rice (preferably overnight).
- Pour the water through the sieve and rinse the rice with clear water.
- Spread out the rice on a clean kitchen towel and let it dry from 45 minutes to 1 hour in the air.
- Put the dried rice in a blender, coffee grinder or grain mill. If you use a blender, be careful not to give too many rice grains at once. Otherwise, less powerful devices can quickly clog. We recommend that you put one or two cups of rice grains in the mixer per round.
