Cleaning can only begin once the device has been dusted dry. Removing dry spills ensures you don't accidentally cause scratches by roughingDirt or debriswipe on the screen. Use a microfiber cloth or other soft cloth to gently dust the entire screen. A microfiber cloth can also be used to clean the cables and speakers of an audio system.
Clean the TV screen without streaks
- Just with water
If a stain cannot be removed with a microfiber cloth, you should first apply some warm water to the cloth and then use the wet cloth to remove the stain from the surface. If you do decide to use a damp cloth, then clean the screen again with a dry cloth to remove any water stains.
- With home remedies – water and dishwashing liquid
You can try using a solution of very mild dish soap diluted heavily with water to remove the worst stains. You should not use a glass cleaner on your TV screen, if only in small quantities. However, you should only apply the solution to the cloth and not to the TV itself. LCD screens in particular are particularly sensitive to pressure and can be easily scratched, so it's important not to press too hard.
- Use commercially available TV screen cleaner
Wipe the TV using a systematic back-and-forth motion after spraying a small amount of a screen-safe cleaner onto a soft cloth, rather than applying it directly to the screen. Make sure the screen cleaner is suitable for the type of screen you want to clean. Repeat the process as many times as necessary to remove grease stains or fingerprints. Also, don't forget to dust the top and bottom of the TV with a cloth.
Before turning the screen back on, you should make sure it has had enough time to dry thoroughly. This shouldn't take longer than fifteen minutes.
Clean the television – don’t forget the remote control
Remote controls can easily collect dust and they also tend to harbor a significant amount of bacteria. Think about how many people have used the remote control recently and consider whether each of their fingertips has been clean. The problem of coughing and sneezing also needs to be addressed.
Remove the batteries from the device before cleaning it. Then turn the remote over so the buttons are facing the other way and tap the remote against your palm to remove any debris that may be lodged between the buttons. Spray a soft cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol diluted with water. After that, clean the entire remote control. The fabric should be damp but not soaked.
You can use an alcohol and water mixture on a cotton swab to clean the buttons and their surroundings. It may be necessary to use a dry toothbrush or wooden toothpick to loosen material that has penetrated deeper into the keys. Finally, clean upthe entire devicewith a dry, soft cloth before reinserting the batteries.
