Soak with soap
The easiest and most straightforward way to remove stickers from a glass surface is to soak the area in hot, soapy water for 10 to 20 minutes. Do not use boiling water as this could crack the glass.
The heat of the water and the chemicals in the soap will break down the adhesive, and after a few minutes you should be able to peel the sticker cleanly off using your fingernails or a plastic scraper. The edge of an old bank card is also suitable. If the glass area is too large to submerge, soak a large sponge or soft cloth in the hot soapy water and place it over the decal.

Removing old stickers from car paint with a hairdryer
High temperatures loosen adhesive residue so that the entire sticker comes togethereasier to remove. A heat gun is ideal, but a hairdryer is also a good substitute when it comes to car paint.
- Plug the hairdryer into an outlet near your car and set it to the highest heat setting. Hold the hairdryer a few centimeters away; it should not be directly on the car.
- Heat the sticker for a few seconds and then set the hair dryer aside. Slide the sharp edge of a plastic card, such as a credit card, under the corner of the sticker and carefully peel it off the car.
- If there is still adhesive residue left after removing the sticker, heat the surface again with the hairdryer, spray the area with a glass cleaner and wipe away the sticky residue.

Vinegar is a slightly acidic liquid that is suitable for removing adhesive from car paint. It softens the adhesive enough that you can work around the edges of the sticker to remove it quickly and efficiently.
- Soak a soft, clean cloth with white vinegar and press it against the surface of the sticker for a few minutes to release the adhesive. Carefully slide a plastic card under the corner of the sticker, being careful not to scratch your car's paint.
- Use your fingers to peel off the sticker while pushing the card further under the sticker. After the sticker is removed, clean the area thoroughly with hot water or take the car to the car wash to remove residue andto remove dirt.
Remove stubborn stickers from plastic
For old and stubborn stickers, you can try removing them with white vinegar and baking soda. The combination of the two ingredients helps loosen the bond and gently scrub the label.
- Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a bottle and add some baking soda. Shake the bottle well. Spray the cleaner onto the sticker to saturate it and let the mixture sit for a few minutes.
- Press the flat edge of a putty knife onto the plastic and gently slide it under the label. Peel the adhesive label off the surface with a little force.
- After removing the sticker, inspect the area for any residue. If the area is still sticky, spray a little more cleaner on it and wipe it with a clean cloth.
