Especially in the bedroom, the nasty insects become a real plague and move our sleep far away. So how can we get rid of mosquitoes in the room? What smells cannot mosquitoes?

Why do we have mosquitoes in the room?

We all know that we have to protect ourselves outdoors. But have you ever wondered why you also have the nasty insects in the room? Well, if it gets really warm outside during the day, you would heat yourself up very quickly and therefore look for a shady place where you can hide. And when you become active in the evening, we often wake up with itchy mosquito bites.

How to get rid of mosquitoes in the room? These tricks really help

Fortunately, if you don't want to use chemical remedies, there are a few effective tricks to get rid of mosquitoes in the room so that you can sleep again in peace.

The T-shirt trick against mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are most attracted by sweat smell and carbon dioxide (part of our breath). Certain chemical fragrances in perfumes also attract the insects. And here is a little trick that mosquitoes can be found in the room. Instead of throwing the sweaty T-shirt into the laundry basket, put it in a corner of the room as a kind of "mosquito bait". And as soon as the mosquitoes come out of their hiding place, they can simply catch them in a glass and bring them out. But so that this method works, you should not smell too much like sweat yourself or other a clothing in the room.

Apply mosquito scales

Do you love to sleep with open windows in the evening? So that you do not have to do with mosquitoes in the room, it is best to attach an insect grille. The attachment is super easy and the grids can be attached to the window frame very quickly with self -adhesive strips. This not only leaves mosquitoes, but also flying and other insects.

Plants against mosquitoes in the room

As already mentioned, mosquitoes are strongly attracted by welding smells. Above all, the ammonia contained in sweat as well as milk and butyric acid have a very attractive effect on the small insects. To drive out mosquitoes in the room, we would recommend that you go a shower in the evening before going to bed. Do not use too much perfumed shower gels. A shower not only keeps mosquitoes away, but also feels very pleasant in summer heat and ensures better sleep. And another little tip - so that you don't sweat in the evening, shower cold water at the end.

Make mosquito trap yourself

A homemade mosquito trap can also help to drive out mosquitoes out of the apartment. Apparently the small insects find sugar -containing drinks such as cola or lemonade particularly appetizing and that is exactly what we will take advantage of. To do this, simply mix about 100 ml of a sugar -containing drink of your choice with a few drops of detergent in a bowl and put it in the corner of the room.
