Ink stains on furniture & textiles: What is the best way to remove them?

Office furniture such as desks and shelves are usually affected, but sometimes the sofa or other furnishings are also affected: If printer ink comes into contact with furniture, quick action is required. The ink sticks stubbornly. That's what it should do, but only on paper!

Fast response prevents stains

One careless moment and the piece of paper lands on the surface of the furniture with the printed side down. Carpet, cushions etc. – remove stains on textiles

Hairspray has proven to be ideal in the fight against ink stains.The chemical properties of the ingredientsare able to completely remove the printer ink. Simply spray it on briefly, leave it on for about half an hour and then wash it off with warm water. A splash of dish soap or vinegar are also good partners in washing out the stain. Textiles that can be machine washed can be treated with a drop of rubbing alcohol before washing.

Always stay on the carpet - but please not like this! Carpet fibers are particularly sensitive when they come into contact with printer ink. Here too, a quick treatment with hairspray is recommended. Then treat the stain with a sponge and warm soapy water. You should try not to rub the stain further into the fibers, but rather carefully dab and absorb the ink stain with the sponge.
