Living ideas for a stylish men's apartment

According to the floor plan, the apartment comprises a total of 42 square meters and is divided into the following rooms: an open living area with a kitchen, a small bedroom, a small square entrance hall, a bathroom and a basement. There is aload -bearing columnthat was skillfully integrated into the facility.

About the project:
Location: Comfort Town residential complex, Kyiv, Ukraine
Year: 2019
How many square meters: 42 sqm
Who lives here: young single man
Project designer: Elena Fateeva from Studio Fateevadesign
An important point for the designer was to define the furnishing concept as precisely as possible in the planning phase in order to avoid that she drives in the wrong direction. So the men's apartment should reflect on the habits, hobbies and the way of life of the owner. In the end everything went smoothly, as the pictures of the men's apartment show.
Planning the facility in the small men's apartment
The spacious living room is organized on the most necessary: a kitchen with a cooking island, a large leather couch with a suitable coffee table and oneTV that on the wallis attached to the couch. The apartment looks larger than it actually is because it is kept relatively open. There is no door between the hallway and the living area, but a room divider that brimishes both from each other and integrates the load -bearing column in the middle of the room as harmoniously into the furnishings. From the hallway you can also get into a small storage room where the washing machine is standing and ski equipment and outer clothing are also kept.
The colors of the men's apartment
The interior is shaped by rich but natural colors. The choice of a combination of wine red and anthracite gray is no accident. The living room windows are aligned to the west so that you can admire the beautiful orange-reddish sunsets from the leather sofa. According to the designer, it is important to consider external factors when decorating a room. The black details add contrast and dynamics.
The black wall gives the room more depth
There are not many freely standing furniture in the apartment. Rather, there is a sufficiently necessary storage room and clever storage solutions that are simply necessary. So the small single apartment feels much larger than 40 square meters. The lighting is also planned in such a way that each area is adequately illuminated without the luminaires being visually disturbing.
Ledercouch in Cognac-Braun
The leather couch in Cognac-Braun is a real eye-catcher in the open living area and creates a great contrast to the black and red cuisine. This couch is a first-class choice for a men's apartment because it looks classic masculine and trendy at the same time. The gray pillows optically harmonize with the carpet and the parquet floor.
The room -high windows let enough daylight flood into the room
The doors are built in wall and designed in the same color as the walls so as not to overload the room with unnecessary details. In this way, door frames disappear and hinges cleverly in the walls. In addition, the doors are carried out in a space -high, which ensures that the vertical lines are hardly noticeable and makes the room appear higher. They help to correct the geometry of the apartment in height, for example in the bathroom, in the hallway or near the kitchen island. With the help of cleverly placed mirrors - in the hallway, living room and bathroom - this effect is reinforced.

Despite the masculine color palette and the emphasized functionality of the facility, it was also important to create a feeling of comfort and homeliness. Therefore, various home accessories and plants are also used. Of course, easy -care houseplants such as ferns and lucky spring are suitable for a men's apartment, which also survive with little water and light.
