Passionate campers are sure to always have at least one camping accessory with them: the gas stove. Quite compact in size and versatile in use (there are even grill plates for it), the stove turns into a must-have if you go camping often. Would you like a few camping recipes for the gas stove?
Since you already have enough luggage to carry for the camping trip, it is of course an advantage to choose camping dishes for the gas stove that do not require a lot of complicated ingredients. But it should still taste good. But don't worry, there are more than enough of them.
Delicious camping recipes for the gas stove: Spaghetti Bolognese as a pan recipe
You need a pot and pan to prepare the pasta and then the sauce, which is not a difficult task, as you will soon see.
- 250 g Spaghetti
- 300 g ground beef
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- olive oil
- optionally grated Parmesan
- Cook the spaghetti until al dente, but leave it in the hot water to keep it warm until serving. You can also do this step last.
- Now heat the pan, add the olive oil and fry the chopped onion and garlic cloves.
- After a few minutes, fry the minced meat too.
- As soon as the meat has turned brown, stir in the tomato paste and then the chopped tomatoes from the can.
- Season to taste with basil, pepper and salt.
- Now let the sauce simmer over low heat for between 10 and 15 minutes so that all the flavors can develop gently.
- When serving, you can sprinkle each portion with a little Parmesan cheese.
Goulash with potatoes and Vienna
Only 4 ingredients and a few spices, that's all you needdelicious potato goulash.
- 5 potatoes
- 1 onion
- Tomato paste
- 200 g of any sausage (e.g. Bockwurst, Vienna, Jagdwurst, etc.)
- ½ cup water
- 1 dash of vinegar
- Pfeffer
- Salt
- Paprika powder
- oil
- Cut the vegetables and sausage into small cubes.
- Heat some oil in a pot or deep pan and fry the onion.
- Stir in the potatoes.
- Add the water and cook the potato for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the sausage and the vinegar. If necessary, you can season with more vinegar.
- Let the dish continue to cook until the potatoes are completely cooked. Make sure you have enough liquid and add more water if necessary.
- Finally, stir some tomato paste into the goulash dish. Complete.
Tipp: If you brought pickles with you, you can also add a few of them to the goulash and simply use cucumber water instead of the vinegar. Instead of or in addition to the tomato paste, cream cheese with a pepper flavor also tastes very good with the dish (approx. 200 g).
Camping dishes for the gas stove – rice with chicken, tangerines and mango
After pasta and potatoes, we need something delicious with rice, right? How about oneexotic stir-fry dishthat is quick and easy to cook while camping?
- ¾ cup rice, washed
- 150 g chicken breast fillet
- 1 mango, chopped small
- 1 can of tangerines
- Onion
- Garlic
- Salt
- Pfeffer
- Chili
- olive oil
- Cut the meat into smaller pieces, strips or cubes as desired.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken. Set it aside in a container (such as a can) that will keep it as warm as possible until you continue cooking it.
- Now fry the chopped onion and garlic in the same fat.
- As soon as the vegetables are soft, add the rice and cook for a few minutes (ideally covered and stirring occasionally).
- Add the tangerine water to the rice, season the dish and add enough water. Since the rice is softer now, 1.5 cups should be enough. It's better to use less at first rather than too much so you can add if necessary.
- If the rice is cooked but still firm to the bite, it is ready. Stir in the fruit and chicken, season with additional spices if necessary and serve.
For breakfast or a snack in between: blueberry pancakes
Pancakes always work, right? That's why they're also part of our camping recipes for the gas stove! It's best to prepare the pancakes within the first or second day of camping, especially if you can't refrigerate eggs etc.
- 4 Owner
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 300 ml milk
- 350 g Flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- oil
- Salt
- Blueberries (others are also suitable)
- Beat the eggs and sugar. The sugar should dissolve if possible.
- Add the milk.
- In another container, mix the dry ingredients (except the berries).
- Add them to the milk mixture, stir until all lumps have disappeared and let the finished dough rest for 15 minutes.
- Bake the dough in batches in a preheated pan on the gas stove over medium heat.
- The bottom of the pancakes is ready when bubbles appear on the top. Then you can turn them over.
