Ingredients:

  • Cooking spray or melted butter with brush
  • 6 burger buns
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 450 g minced beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt
  • black pepper
  • 3 slices of cheddar, quartered
  • 12 pickles
  • For garnish: ketchup, mustard, sesame seeds

preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a muffin tin with cooking spray. Using a rolling pin, roll out the burger bun halves approximately 0.6 cm thin and place one half, cut side up, in each prepared muffin tin.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Add the onion and cook the onion until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the ground beef and sauté until the meat is no longer pink, about 6 minutes. Pour off fat.

3. Season the minced meat mixture with garlic powder, salt and pepper, spread it over the burger buns and place a square of cheddar cheese on top of each. Bake until the cheese has melted and the rolls are golden brown, about 10 minutes.
4. Drizzle the cheeseburger muffins with ketchup and mustard, top with a cucumber and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
