First, find some fresh, good-looking, elongated strawberries. Make small, not very deep incisions slightly above the stump of the fruit. A little further up, design the next row, with the incisions offset from the previous ones. If there is still room for a third row, you can add another.

Place all ingredients in a medium bowl and heat until sugar melts and completely dissolves. Stir well and remove the pot from the heat every now and then to avoid burning. Wait until the mixture becomes liquid and has a typical yellowish color, then the sugar is already caramelized. Take the pot off the stove. Using a wooden spoon, fork or tablespoon, pull long threads out of the pot and quickly wrap them around the handle of the wooden spoon. The caramel will solidify immediately and is ready for decorating. In this way you can also create other caramel shapes on a sheet of baking paper.
Make precise lines in the glaze and let it shine like a sun or flower on the edge of the plate.
