– 1 egg (room temperature)
– 1 Tasse Mehl
– 1/2 tea cup butter, or 125 g
– 1/2 Theta Quark
– 5 TL Cocoa
– 1/2 tea cup sugar
– 1 packet of baking powder
– Chocolate (you can choose between whole milk and dark chocolate, as well as chocolate with nuts)
Preparation time: 50 minutes
Proper preparation is important
And this is how they are made:
1. Sift the flour and baking powder and add the cocoa. Mix everything with a spoon.
2. Mix the egg with the sugar until the sugar dissolves. It is best to use a mixer to mix the dough so that it goes faster. If necessary, a whisk can also be used, but this takes more time and effort.
3. Melt the butter and mix it with the milk. Add any other liquid products from the ingredients. Then add the flour mixture little by little, stirring constantly.
4. After breaking the chocolate into small pieces, stir it into the batter. The dough is now ready.
The baking pan
5. Now let's get to the baking pan. In relation to this, you should know the following: If you use a silicone mold, you do not need to add paper cases as you can easily remove the muffins after baking. But honestly, what would the muffins be without their typical and friendly paper cases, which are now available in so many colors and with a wide variety of patterns and figures? But like I said, it's up to you. If you agree with us, then place a paper cup in each shape. Fill this two-thirds full with the dough. It is important not to overfill them because the dough will rise during baking and may overflow. This causes the muffins to lose their great shape. In addition, they may not bake well if there is too much dough in the molds. Likewise, you should not fill the molds with too little dough, as even then they will not be able to achieve their typical shape.
6. You should preheat the oven to 180 degrees beforehand. Then put the pan in the oven and wait for the muffins to finish baking. To check if the muffins are done, there is a great trick that you may already know. All you need is a toothpick. Use it to pierce a muffin. If it is dry when you pull it out, the chocolate muffins are ready. If dough sticks to the toothpick, you need to leave the muffins in the oven for a while.
