Cereal Milk Panna Cotta-an American trend dessert
This recipe has become famous because of the Netflix broadcast Chefs Table. In an episode she was introduced to the American confectioner Christina Tosi and now everyone wants to try her Cereal Milk Panna Cotta. You too?
What is Cereal Milk?
Cereal Milk is the trend drink invented by the confectioner in New York. These are milk that is flavored with roasted breakfast flakes and brown sugar. It tastes like the dense, slightly sweet, starchy, granular milk from the bottom of the cornflakes shell, which everyone likes to enjoy at the end of breakfast.
How to do the milk yourself:
- Preheat the oven to 140 degrees ° C.
- Spread 2 cups (approx. 60 grams) evenly on a baking sheet.
- Push the sheet into the middle rail of the oven and roast the corn flakes for 10 minutes.Notice: The roasting of the cornflakes is optional, but it deepens the taste and makes grain milk really addicted.
- Remove the sheet from the oven and let the cornflakes cool completely.
- Pour the roasted cornflakes into a jug or bowl.
- 3 cups of milk (700 milliliters) and 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar and stir well.
- Put the jug in the fridge for 30 minutes so that the flavors can pull.
- Then take out of the fridge and stir again so that the sugar dissolves completely.
- Place a fine mesh sieve over a large bowl or a jug and pour the milk to separate the grain from the milk. Press the grain to squeeze out as much milk as possible. Throw away the remaining cornflakes (or eat as desired).
